Incremental or Absolute Distance Measurement

The Magnetic Tape produced by Siko consist of a flexible magnetically encoded plastic tape, which is permanently adhered to a steel carrier strip. It is offered in both incremental or absolute versions, with a variety of pole pitches, widths and sizes. As the interface between the magnetic tape and sensors are contactless, there are no wearing parts. In addition, the system is insensitive to dust, water and non-ferrous debris.
